What is Sea Buckthorn?

Sea buckthorn, known as “holy fruit” in Tibet, is found in centuries-old medicinal texts in Tibet and China. It was used there to treat coughing, digestive problems, skin issues, wounds and burns, and even depression in some cases. Recently, science has come to discover its dense nutritional content of omega 3 6 7 9, vitamins, and antioxidants.

Legend

The genus name of Sea Buckthorn "Hippophae" originates from the Greek words "Hippo", horse, and "Phaos", to shine. It is due to the ancient Greek use of sea buckthorn as horse feed to make their skins to shine more.

When Alexander the Great headed back from India after conquering Persia, he traveled with his troops through the desert regions now known as Pakistan and Iran. Short on food and water, the soldiers and horses were dying. They passed an area where Sea Buckthorn was growing. After feeding on the berries and leaves, the horses regained full vigor, reflected in their shiny coats.

OPC (Proanthocyanidins)

Chemical Structure of Prodelphinidin

Chemical Structure of Prodelphinidin

CyanthOx™ is a natural plant extract derived from Sea Buckthorn grown in the Tibetan Plateau. It is found to contain a unique combination of ProanthocyanidinsBioflavonoids, and Phenolic Acids, which offers extensive natural health benefits.

Unlike other Proanthocyanidins extracts in the market, such as French Pine Bark extract and Grape Seed extract, the majority of Proanthocyanidins in CyanthOx™ are Prodelphindins, instead of Procyanidins

This extract has been widely studied for the past 20 years, with more than 7 clinical trials and 80 scientific publications, ensuring its efficacy and safety.

Omega 7

Chemical Structure of Omega 7

Chemical Structure of Omega 7

Omega 7 is a novel unsaturated fatty acid that was first discovered by scientists at Harvard Medical School in 2008. Researches have shown that Omega 7 may help prevent cardiovascular disease, cholesterol accumulation and lipid deposits in blood vessels, in addition to aiding to stimulate mucous membrane regeneration in the ocular, oral, respiratory, intestinal, vaginal and skin tissues.*

In nature, Omega 7 can be found Avocado, Peruvian Anchovy Fish, and Macadamia Nut. However, Tibetan Sea Buckthorn has the highest Omega 7 content.

With our advanced supercritical CO₂ fluid extraction and purification technology, we are capable of extracting 45% or more Omega 7 (CardiOmegia™) in its natural triglyceride form, which is up to 4.5X higher compared with other Omega 7 sources.

Puredia’s Unique Omega 7 Products:

Omegia®

Omegia® is an organic, Omega 3 6 7 9, beta-carotene, vitamin E formula for beauty from within and menopause. These nutrients may help trigger the regeneration of the mucous membrane, particularly in the vaginal tissues, and support the natural hydration of the skin, eyes, and mouth.* Typically, the effect is noticed in 2-4 weeks.

CardiOmegia™

Consisting of more than 45% Omega 7 in the natural triglyceride (TG) form, CardiOmegia™ is the highest organic Omega 7 source in the market with the least impurities. Clinical study showed consumption of 220.5 mg Omega 7 may help modulate lipid profile and inflammatory markers.
